Launch of the DIHs Champions Challenge!
On the 1th of July, the DIHNET.EU project launched the DIH Champions Challenge. Fully operational DIHs can take part in the challenge and apply until the 15th of September. The winners will be announced this November, at the Stakeholder Forum in Madrid.
Network Expansion by Open Calls, an update by Work Package Two
Work Package 2 is about to expand the SmartAgriHubs ecosystem. The ambition is to match the available open call budget with other private and public funding and to support at least 70 new Innovation Experiments in the coming 3-4 years. 26 June 2019 - The IoT Week 2019, a global annual event, took place between the 17 - 21 June 2019 in the beautiful setting of Jutland's capital: Aarhus, Denmark. The SmartAgriHubs project was present with a double booth throughout the week and hosted a series of presentations on the 'Smart Farming Day'. The week was a roaring success for the project as it saw many people taking interest in our project as a result of our presence, our presentations, and games.

The disruptive technologies of Smart Pig Health

09 May 2019 - Smart Pig Health, a Flagship Innovation Experiment (FIE#11) in SmartAgriHubs, has been included as a case-study in a study for the Agri-committee of the European Parliament. The study presents the impact of the digital economy on the food chain and the Common Agricultural Policy. Smart Pig Health is mentioned as an exemplary case that uses technologies with a high expected impact on the agri-value chain.

European Commission refers to SmartAgriHubs and IoF2020 as exemplary projects of tomorrow’s agriculture
29 April 2019 - On the 9th of April, 24 EU Member States signed a declaration of cooperation on ‘a smart and sustainable digital future for European agriculture and rural areas’. Both SmartAgriHubs and IoF2020 were mentioned in the declaration as exemplary projects for a smart and sustainable digital agriculture.
