Strike Two Summit

Between the 19th and 20th of September, the first event of the Strike Two Summit will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

What can technology really do for companies in the food industry? With a continuous decrease in consumer trust, is the industry preparing to respond? How can the industry prepare itself for the upcoming 5-10 years? This is exactly why all of these players in the food sector are partnered up, to organise the Strike Two Summit! (Here’s the list of partners: Ahold Delhaize, Deloitte, IBM, Unilever, CGIAR, CTA, FAO, ScanTrust, Municipality of Amsterdam, Amsterdam Economic Board, NAJK, BlueNumber, Tykn, RVO).

In order to help food professionals understand technology, the Strike Two Summit showcases existing technological solutions. It brings together industry leaders, start-ups, investors, governments, research facilities, and civil society together in one place. This Summit is not about building new technologies, it’s about using existing technologies to create new solutions in our food systems. Being in a workshop type environment, instead of a ‘sit back and listen’ type, you will be gaining a clearer understanding about what technology can and cannot do for you and your company.

What can you expect from the Summit?

The goal is to help you gain a clearer understanding of whether or not these new technologies can be beneficial to you. And, if so, what are the next steps you need to take to benefit from these new solutions. The Summit is a series of events that will happen throughout the year, but the first one to is the one we want to share with you. Happening in the 19th and 20th of September, the first event is labeled “Consumer Trust.”It will tackle topics like Food Safety, Food Quality, and Food circularity!

If this sounds interesting to you, you can schedule a 10-minute call with the team behind the summit, so they can provide you with more clarity on the event and if it would be a good fit for you or your company!
